IECD is a registered charity established in 1988. It is committed to supporting social and economic development in emerging and developing countries.

As an NGO, IECD is a member of Coordination SUD (national federation of the French development anf emergency NGOs - www.coordinationsud.org) and of the Coordination d’Agen (coordinating emergency missions and voluntary work This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. In 2010, IECD partners projects in 13 countries in Africa, the Near-East, South-East Asia and Latin America.

Mission and Vision

“To be makers of the future” by implementing projects, which provide the men and women in the regions involved, with sufficient and adequate means to play an active and responsible role in the development of their countries.

Action and Efficiency

-   Identify reliable local partners with high potential projects;
-   Create, develop, finance, implement projects adapted to the local context in partnership with local actors;
-   Strengthen the capacities of civil society contributors involved in development and have full confidence in the skills and talents of the local men and women.

2 privileged areas of action
Through more than 20 years of operational field work, IECD has developed a real expertise in 2 specific areas:
-   Technical and vocational training (in industry, agriculture, hospitality-catering and health jobs);
-   Support to Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE).

IECD projects also contribute to strengthening education, healthcare and social structures.
