In order to widen the beneficiary target group, the IECD has decided to generalize the experience and transfer it to several associations located in various parts of Syria.

AT THE HEART OF THE CRISIS, THE IECD REMAINS ON TRACK!

The Syria IECD team presents a video of the actions for young people, teenagers and children.

The IECD has been involved in various activities in Syria since 2008, including vocational training for vulnerable young people and other social projects. Since the start of the Syrian crisis in 2011, the IECD has played an even greater role in the Syrian community, offering young people a chance to build their future by helping them to face their dire circumstances and developing the skills they need. The IECD has recently extended its actions to teenagers and children: vocational training for young people (manual jobs, services, entrepreneurship, and more), and workshops for younger members of society on sensitive topics such as child labor, early marriage and violence. We use soft methods such as drawing, stories and puppet shows.

At the Jaramana Center, we used to welcome young people from 14 to 24 years old. This year we have integrated younger children and work with them to help them overcome the traumas of war.
