Yet many entrepreneurs, particularly women, face significant obstacles in creating and growing their businesses, including limited access to finance, lack of tailored support, and socio-cultural constraints. In this context, strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem and supporting local initiatives is a crucial challenge for promoting inclusive and sustainable growth.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"680\" data-end=\"1342\">The <span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">MAMOA project<\/span> seeks to address these challenges by supporting Malagasy micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) through the phases of creation, formalisation, and development. Implemented by a consortium bringing together <span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">IECD, Initiative International<\/span>, and the local partner <span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">Madagascar Entreprises D\u00e9veloppement<\/span>, the project is part of the <span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">ITOVIA programme funded by the <span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">French Development Agency<\/span>. Running from 2024 to 2029, it places particular emphasis on women\u2019s entrepreneurship to promote women\u2019s economic empowerment and reduce gender inequalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1731\">The project is based <strong><span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">hree complementary areas of intervention<\/span><\/strong> :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1731\"><strong><span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">Supporting the local entrepreneurial ecosystem by assisting Structures for the Promotion of Women\u2019s Entrepreneurship (SPEF)<\/span><\/strong> to develop and sustain existing local initiatives while improving their visibility and accessibility for entrepreneurs.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1731\"><strong><span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">Promoting socio-economic empowerment<\/span><\/strong> by improving women\u2019s living conditions through a transformative effect on their strategic interests and their position in society.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1731\"><strong><span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">Facilitating access to dedicated support services<\/span><\/strong> through the deployment of financial and non-financial services tailored to entrepreneurs, particularly women.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the regions of <strong data-start=\"1752\" data-end=\"1807\"><span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">Analamanga, Vakinankaratra, and Haute Matsiatra<\/span><\/strong>, various initiatives are implemented to support entrepreneurs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong><span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">Entrepreneurship Caravan<\/span><\/strong> is a mobile initiative operating across the three project regions. It offers workshops introducing entrepreneurship and sessions raising awareness about gender inequalities.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong><span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">TRANSFORM programme\/span&gt;<\/span><\/strong> serves as a strategic lever for economic development by supporting the promotion of <strong><span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">\u00ab Made in Madagascar \u00bb<\/span><\/strong> agro-food products. It guides entrepreneurs through all key stages of their activity, from processing raw materials to marketing, while strengthening their competitiveness and market access.. It provides personalised support through training, thematic workshops, and a dynamic exchange platform via the Entrepreneurs\u2019 Club. In partnership with specialised local organisations, the incubator acts as a referral platform, directing women entrepreneurs to services suited to their needs.<\/li>\n<li>Managed by local associations active in their communities, the <strong><span style=\"color: #e97f6c;\">Initiative Honour Loan<\/span><\/strong> is a zero-interest personal loan with no collateral required. Coupled with individualised technical support, this financing solution fosters trust among stakeholders, strengthens entrepreneurs\u2019 capacities, and facilitates access to co-financing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2198\" data-end=\"2453\">By strengthening entrepreneurs\u2019 skills, supporting local structures, and facilitating access to finance, the <strong
