><p>&#8220;I took a big step towards my future by enrolling at the Janah Centre. As soon as I arrived, I wanted to learn new skills, starting with my passion: cooking. I love it, and I&#8217;m convinced that it will be very useful to me in the future. But I didn&#8217;t stop there! I also joined an electricity course that included coding lessons. To my great surprise, I discovered a real interest in electrical installations and this profession in general.<\/p>\n<p>The Janah Centre not only gave me practical skills, it also helped me to grow personally. Before, I spent my time not really knowing what to do at home. Now I have goals, and I&#8217;m doing everything I can to move forward and develop. deepening poverty, is having a profound effect on the country&#8217;s education system. Pupils, parents, teachers and schools are bearing the brunt of these difficulties. Between 2020 and 2023, schools experienced lengthy closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, repeated strikes and deteriorating conditions. These cumulative challenges have led to significant delays in learning and an increased risk of dropping out of school.<\/p>\n<p>Against this backdrop, the IECD and its local partner Semeurs d&#8217;Avenir (Sowers of the Future) are responding in part to the educational and psychological needs of <strong><span style=\"color: #dfabb1;\">adolescents aged 12 to 18<\/span><\/strong> by helping them to build their life project through an individualised programme lasting several weeks at the <strong><span style=\"color: #dfabb1;\">Janah socio-educational centre in Beirut<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>By providing them with an environment conducive to learning and personal development, they take part in introductory sessions and learn about the most promising trades in the Lebanese economy, such as architecture, electricity and cooking. In this way, they reveal their potential, develop technical and life skills, and become <b><strong><span style=\"color: #dfabb1;\">fulfilled young people <\/span><\/strong><\/b>and <b><strong><span style=\"color: #dfabb1;\">committed citizens, taking part in <\/span><\/strong><\/b>the transformation of their community.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>offer a <span style=\"color: #dfabb1;\">comprehensive education pathway<\/span> to train and support young people in vulnerable situations to build their life project,<\/li>\n<li>support <span style=\"color: #dfabb1;\">education and youth professionals<\/span> in building their capacity,<\/li>\n<li>raise awareness <span style=\"color: #dfabb1;\">among parents, who are the primary players in their children&#8217;s education,<\/span> so that they can support them in their educational, social and professional
