style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In a difficult economic climate where<\/span> <strong>25% of young Egyptians are unemployed<\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #000000;\">the IECD is successfully tackling the problem of young people\u2019s access to employment.<\/span> <strong>Egypt is one of the IECD\u2019s most recent countries of intervention.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 2013, the \u2033Seeds of Hope\u2033 programme was deployed in Cairo and Alexandria in partnership with two Salesian schools. In agreement with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, as well as the French Chamber of Trade and Industry in Egypt,<\/span> <strong>two new state schools joined the programme in 2016.<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">They mainly target young people from poor backgrounds and mainly young girls.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In June 2017, four years after the launch of the programme in Egypt, the <\/span><strong>new 3-year course was accredited by the Egyptian Minister for National Education and Vocational Training<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Since 2021<\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #000000;\">the IECD has increased its support to female entrepreneurs focusing on new professions in order to secure decent jobs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Since 2022, IECD has been working <strong><span style=\"color: #6bbdda;\">in the healthcare sector<\/span><\/strong> to give elderly, sick and disabled people access to quality day-to-day care.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\"
