has continued to develop its activities in the <b><strong>Middle East<\/strong><\/b> and <b><strong>North<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>Africa<\/strong><\/b> despite the deteriorating economic, social and political situation. The IECD has expanded its work with the most vulnerable groups in collaboration with local public and private partners.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>In<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>Lebanon,<\/strong><\/b> despite the multidimensional crisis, IECD has maintained its activities throughout the country. Thanks to the diversity of its projects and schemes, IECD has confirmed its position as a key player in the fields of vocational training and access to employment. New projects have been implemented to respond to the challenges facing the country, in particular integration via the energy transition professions and the development of training in the installation of solar panels.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>The IECD<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>has repositioned<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>itself<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>to<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>provide<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>technical<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>assistance<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>to<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>local<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>partners<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>in the Palestinian<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>Territories<\/strong><\/b> <b><strong>.<\/strong><\/b> For example, its partner Burj al Luqluq Community Centre and Society has successfully taken over from the IECD the management and running of the Al Hamawi socio-educational centre, located to the east of Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>In Syria, <\/strong><\/b>the IECD has increased its impact through the development of integration projects and short professional training courses.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>In Morocco, <\/strong><\/b>after the consecration of the project to train people to help people with reduced mobility and the development of entrepreneurial support, the teams are trying out these models within other structures.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"63\" data-end=\"193\">The IECD is now well established in <strong>Tunisia<\/strong>, confirming the foundations for the \u2018Nouvelle Chance\u2019 programmes in Sousse and Kairouan. The IECD has also launched a bakery-pastry training courses.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"195\" data-end=\"434\">Meanwhile, the <strong>Mediterranean New Chance Network<\/strong> carries out new advocacy initiatives with public authorities, publishes a good practices guide on gender, and organises the first youth exchange between both shores of the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><\/div><!--close column table wrapper.
