IECD Key Dates

1988 8 January: Constitutive General assembly of the IECD in Strasburg, organization created under Alsace-Moselle local law
1989 Established in the Indian Ocean: start of partnership with the Institut Malgache de Recherche Appliquée (IMRA – Malagasy Institute for Applied Research).

Established in the Near East: Partnership with the Mar Semaan organization

1991 Established in Sub-Saharan Africa: launch of the first Family Farm School (EFA – Ecoles Familiales Agricoles) in Cameroon
1992 Cameroon representative office opened
1994 First European co-financing: Condoray project in Peru
1997 Registered member of Coordination SUD (the Federation of French NGOs) and Coordination d’Agen (coordinating emergency missions and voluntary work)

Republic of Côte d’Ivoire representative office opened: launch of Family Farm Schools (EFA) in Republic of Côte d’Ivoire
2002 Established in Asia: Hospitality Management and Catering School in partnership with Pour un Sourire d’Enfants in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
2005 Established in East Africa: Hospitality Management and Catering School in Kawangware, Kenya
2007 Near East representative office opened in Beirut (Lebanon)
2008 IECD’s 20th anniversary
2010 January: Madgascar representative office opened
April: IECD's public interest objective is recognised officially.
