«My grades have started improving»

Before I joined the Janah project, I had a lot of problems in my Lebanese school. I had great difficulty understanding the lessons because they were taught in French and English. Very often, I wasn’t able to do my homework. I was often made fun of by the Lebanese pupils, which led to many fights. Frankly, I don’t like my school.
At the Janah project, if there is a conflict between students, we are forced to settle it, which creates a very nice environment where we can learn. We get a lot of help with our homework and my grades have started improving. Also, the project is very close to my house and I can come here directly after school.

«We are enjoying ourselves and laughing a lot»

I chose to get involved in the Janah project in order to succeed in my studies. I am now learning English and there are I.T and Mathematics classes. After the classes, there are also many activities, such as football practice, but I am wondering why there is no basketball this year. Sometimes, we even go on a trip, such as the excursion to Qanoubine last year.
I get here every day after school; I can meet my friends and do my homework. Afterwards, we participate in the activities. We are enjoying ourselves and laughing a lot. However, the classes tend to be very noisy which makes studying difficult and there are still a lot of fights between the students.

«Janah helped me overcome the difficulties I encountered»

Last year, when I was still at the Sainte Thérèse, I wanted to change schools, even abandon my studies completely. But Janah helped me overcome the difficulties I encountered, I can do my homework now and I am enjoying life. I like this project a lot because I can meet my friends, play with them and because I know that we get the help we need whenever we need it.
